Jennifer Lindholm is assistant dean of undergraduate education and director of Honors Programs. Previously, she served (2001-2006) as associate director of the Cooperative Institutional Research Program (CIRP) at UCLA's Higher Education Research Institute and as director of the institute's triennial national survey of college faculty. Jennifer’s research and writing focus on undergraduate student development; leadership and institutional change; and the structural and cultural dimensions of academic work, including the career development, work experiences, and professional behavior of college and university faculty. She graduated with a BA in Psychology and a BS in Physical Education from Whittier College, a MS in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from California State University, Fullerton, and a MA and PhD in Higher Education and Organizational Change from UCLA. Jennifer lives in La Cañada Flintridge with Oliver, the Australian Labradoodle. Learn more about her work here.

Laura Fox is a professor of social entrepreneurship at the USC Marshall School of Business and a lecturer at UCLA. Currently, Laura is the Board Chair of P.S. Arts, the Board Vice Chair of City Year Los Angeles and serves on a number of advisory councils including Human Rights Watch Los Angeles Committee, University of Michigan LSA Dean’s Advisory Council and Common Sense Media Los Angeles Advisory Council. Previously, Laura served as Board Chair of the Brentwood School and on the Board of Directors for Para Los Niños and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Los Angeles. Laura worked in the entertainment industry for fifteen years, where she was responsible for overseeing business and legal affairs for the DreamWorks movie division, and was the VP of Legal Affairs for Walt Disney Pictures and Touchstone Pictures. Laura graduated with a BA in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Michigan, and received a JD from the University of Chicago Law School. Laura lives in Santa Monica with her husband and two children.

Michael Suarez is UCLA Honors Programs assistant director for student development, teacher, mentor and counselor. Mexi-pino. Marathon runner. Mom-Centenarian-caregiver. Yoga teacher. Yale and Ph.D. firstgen survivor. He earned his PhD at the UCLA Graduate School of Education and his BA in Political Science at Yale University. Michael also completed a 200-hour Teacher Training & Certificate program in Yoga & Healing Sciences at Loyola Marymount University. He enjoys teaching students mindfulness exercises that include yoga and meditation to help them reduce stress, create safe spaces, and build community that fosters communication in diverse settings. Michael’s educational philosophy is holistic. It’s about working collaboratively with diverse students, faculty and staff in creating learning environments that validate each student’s academic and personal experiences in support of their success and future goals. Michael is a native Angelino, from Wilmington, CA.
